Integrating Factors With Exact Equations

the idea here is that if the equation is not exact, maybe we can find some {$\mu$} where {$ (\mu M)_y = (\mu N)_x $}. this is the case when {$\frac{M_y -N_x}{N}$} is a function of x only. The integrating factor can then be found by plugging in to the following equation:

{$\frac{d\mu}{dx} = \frac{M_y-N_x}{N}\mu$}
